Advocates Debate Voter ID Stances

As the proposed constitutional amendment to require photo identification at the polls inches closer to the November ballot, FOX 9 News invited Chuck Samuelson, executive director of the ACLU of Minnesota, and Andy Cilek, president and co-founder of the Minnesota Voters Alliance to discuss their different stances.

After two meetings and five hours of public testimony before the Senate Local Government and Elections Committee, the Voter ID amendment passed on Monday. The bill will now go to the Government Innovation and Veterans Committee for the next round of debate.
